Georgia has had wonderful opportunities for collaboration this year, supporting the Unlock the Waiting Lists! Campaign to increase the amount of home and community based services for people with disabilities. The Unlock Campaign, funded by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities, hired a Georgia FV Coordinator to be its Support Coordinator. Georgia has also participated in the development of a statewide coalition focused on education issues, GCARE, which raises health care issues that may go neglected when considering education. Georgia regrets losing the participation of long time Coordinator Jenni Clark, but wishes her well in her future activities. Georgia has begun recruiting board members in preparation for applying for non-profit status.
